About the organisation

Loss and Grief Support Trust Southland provides free support for anyone who is experiencing loss or grief in Invercargill and the wider Southland region.

From its main office based in Invercargill, the Loss and Grief Centre offers a variety of services, including a drop-in centre, monthly support groups, rest home-based support groups, workshops for professionals and the general public, and resources.

 What the grant went towards

The ILT Foundation provided Loss and Grief Support Trust Southland with $20,000 towards the operational costs of running the Invercargill Loss and Grief Centre.

This is the third year the Foundation has supported the Loss and Grief Support Trust.

What the grant means to the organisation/community group

“The ILT has been with us from day one,” Loss and Grief Centre manager Caroline Loo said.

Support from them provides stability and allows for ongoing organic growth of the Invercargill arm of the loss and grief centre services.

It ensures that access to support for our Invercargill community is free and occurs in a professional and timely manner. We are extremely grateful for the ongoing support we receive.
